I am excited about 2021! We have a vaccine for COVID and I am entered in the 2021 Leadville 100 Run. I have decided to train myself and hope to pull from my experience of running and DNF at the Leadville 100 in 2018 as well as running in several other 100's from 2017 - to 2019. I am not a running coach yet believe I have gained valuable ultra running experience over the last few years. We shall see =)
My overall plan for Leadville this time through will include several weeks over 70 miles. Typically running 4 days a week with weekends including back to back long runs. Weekday runs will be Tuesday and Thursday also including a weekly Plyometrics workout for leg strength and mobility and a weekly strength workout for upper body resilience and core strength. My current base is consistent 30+ miles a week with back to back long runs of 13+ to 10+ miles. Weekend runs are typically trail runs with at least one including a significant amount of incline.
