When we attempt to predict another’s motives or impending responses of a future interaction we often find ourselves setting unrealistic expectations. We set the stage to be let down and find ourselves once again disappointed with the outcome. Learn to focus on your own motives and make sure they are pure. Set expectations only for yourself, for what you hope to share of yourself with others. Be available to counsel, console, laugh, or love when invited. Let go and have faith for we really never truly have control of others actions.

Today's Thought “The Motives of Others”
Have you ever found yourself attempting to
predict your actions and another’s responses to those actions before a
stressful or significant interaction? We say thus and so in our mind and
imagine that they respond with such and such. We get nervous and think the
worst and then think the best and sway back and forth.
